A travel film · Tokyo — Kyoto

Japan

Neon nights and quiet temple mornings — one journey between two cities.

01 — The film

Between noise and stillness

Japan is a short travel film about two moods of one country. Tokyo appears at night — crossings, neon and streets that never dim. Kyoto is filmed in the soft light of morning, among lanterns and temple gates.

Shot handheld with natural and practical light, it follows one traveller through both cities and lets the places set the rhythm.
